Might get lucky one game but it a 7 game series, oilers biggest problem will be goaltending. even the last game Iam sure it crossed some oil fans/ players mind, not again when Canuck got those 2 quick goals .

This is my second favorite thread on AO for it's wisdom and insight, right after the one about baby beavers starving....

His play is lacking now.
But I think his goal was more to provide some leadership and keep players in line. (Like Kane for example).
I doubt he plays next season. Anywhere.

What a great series. Excited for Dallas to hopefully get some revenge for the beatings they gave out in the playoffs year after year in the late 90s/early 00s.

You are not wrong. I have been saying all along, multiple times goaltending will be their Achille’s heel.

Serious question for all knowledgeable hockey gurus out there. Do you think the oilers biggest weakness is the goalie?
Haven’t seen much on this thread about that 🙂🙄😂

I don't understand why Flames fans are so quiet these days?
The team really needs their support if they want to make it through the next round.
I hear the back 9 is brutal!

I’m just sick of the oilers always having to lead the way for the pacific division during playoffs. Would be nice to have some help instead of carrying the whole dam division on their shoulders.
I mean….. if other teams that aren’t so awful that they actually make the playoffs, STEP UP!

Yes I am an Albertan but they beat my Canucks so I might have to look elsewhere for a Stanley cup champion.

Technicality. Once they were bumped out they are just Stanley cup security guards for the upcoming champions.

To all the Flames fans it’s ok to put your orange and blue on and cheer on Canada’s team through the rest of the 2024 playoffs and Stanley cup finals.

So, what you’re saying is, you’re okay with the Oilers winning the cup so long as nobody brings it up after .
How very Canadian.

I’ll never dress in NDP colours but remain a flames fan first and oilers fan second.
Go oilers!

Nope. Different shades. NDP orange is exact same. Look it up.

That's funny. My buddy actually fell for this one (probably because even though it's a deep fake, there's truth in there )

McDavid has to be hurt. Two games in the last series…no points? The least ice time in games in his career…?
I would be willing to bet a lot that he’s nursing an injury. It is slowing him down. He’s just not the same player that he was around game 70 in the regular season. He’s not the same dominating player. He missed 2(?) of the last games in the regular season too.

The first goal was identical to the Vancouver game , skinner come out to play the puck. The D sloppy play give away in the circle lead to the goal …

^ Yeah, I agree, Skinner should never leave the net.
Third period picked up for Dallas a bit. Reminded me of Rangers a bit prior to that. Poor pack control, passing to nowhere, leaving the pack and running from hits, etc. Dadonov line is extremely strong.
Edmonton is playing a solid game. I didn’t expect it myself.
