Apparently all of the city of Calgary busses and electric trains were shut down on Friday (frozen up) I wonder if they ran today or tonight? We got the alert around 7:15pm welcome to the world of Nutley and her merry band of useful idiots.... Hopefully they will not make the same mistake twice. Clown world rules.

Moe to the rescue, again… and with RELIABLE sources of power generation! Should be a nice warm sleep for folks tonight. Hopefully this serves as a wake up call for some that we’re being sold a bag of green “renewable” lies.

So thanks to Notley shutting down coal plants, what do we do to increase our generation to the levels that we require? The woke/green fanatics don't want coal or gas generation, they will also resist nuclear, and wind solar aren't practical during our -40 winter days? That doesn't leave us many options, with the woke/green fanatics blocking every practical option. Perhaps the real problem is the woke/green fanatics?

Last night I was sitting with one small LED light going looking out the window at all the street lights blazing away
I have complained about this before when we were short of power and was told it was a safety issue.
Last year the street light in our col de sac only worked for 2 months out of 12

If rotating outages do become necessary, start with Notley's riding, her former ministers ridings, and the two federal ridings that elected liberals, as they are the ones that want to shut down our reliable sources of electricity. Let them lead by example.

Well my conclusion on this whole mess after hours of reading about it is that this is about more than Notley. That needs to be addressed, there’s more than one piece to this puzzle.

Before I get attacked , I’m not saying she should have phased out coal so soon and transitioned those plants to gas instead because that was clearly hasty. But if you’re seeing that as the entire problem you’re viewing things in a lens too narrow.

As much as it would be a heart warming situation to see, it is pure fantasy, and frankly such statements only bolster the eco idjits position, and make you look just as un hinged as them.

Shutting down generation was definitely a huge factor in Alberta being in this situation, but you are correct, with the woke/green fanatics opposing coal/gas and nuclear generation, we have no reliable alternatives in Alberta, so what do we do in the future?

It is unfortunate, but yes, the grid design won't allow the people causing this situation to feel the effects of their actions. And that is too bad, because that is usually what needs to happen, for some people to learn from their mistakes.

Fact is that the anti coal/gas/oil agenda has put us in this situation, and fact, is that the same agenda will be our largest hurdle in finding a solution to get out of this situation. Fact is that solar/wind generation aren't working in this situation.
