I dont wanna say numbers but I will say that mule deer is not an old deer, 4 1/2 to 5 1/2 and needed to be farmed out (great deer Mr I'da shot him too!). But what does get a guy cranking is hearing of a 240 inch nt alberta archery mule, hearing tell of a photo and not getting to see it...

Just for fun lets do a review:
First place - TBark with a guess 6 inches low
Second place - LivintheDream with a guess 7 inches high
Third place Bit Runner with a guess 9 inches low
LAST Place - Justin C out by 35 inches and eating crow about how the picture exaggerated the size of the deer.

livinthedream....he wont be anywhere near the biggest for alberta. i received a pic of one that is over 240 with archery gear. im guessing that will be the best for any weapon in alberta this year.

And if you thought that you were going to fly under the radar you were sadly mistaken. Worst part about it was that you didn't even stick your neck out and make a guess!
As far as photos go I think that this one more fairly represents the animal than the velvet mulie picture that you posted.

Hey i could say the locals say it is 195 1/8....... Does that make it right????????? I think you need to zip it..ONLY THE OP KNOWS THE REAL SCORE....... Till I see his score I dont care. That deer does not score 227" If it does mine must go 220"typical. Till we all see better pics or a score who knows what the real truth is. Also the op still has not answered us as he is sure keeping it quite.... If I had a 220"+ deer I would tell the world what it scored not hide it.... Just think for a second...

Score
i would be carfull what the locals say i have not told anybody a score till now. not a soul but myself has seen the actual antlers so if any body said they have they must be looking a sombody elses deer. i am sitting back behind the deer but i am taking pictures of the buck not me thats the key to a good picture. hear is a side view. just so you guys know i hate scoring my animals it really takes the excitement out of the hunt if the animal doesnt make the score you thought. i will give the gross score from that im sure you can all get pretty close to the net score. my philosophy is if they grow it you count it so her is the gross score 195"

Bingo! I figured he looked 216, not sure where your getting the extra 2/8" from, I guess I'll have to look at the side view a little closer! Great buck and I'm still trying to find a big guy this year, but for some reason the biggest one I've seen would be lucky to make 170. Normally I see them in the 200" range where I hunt but this year they seem smaller. It might of been a harsh winter where I hunt.
