"Zack Kassian only has three points this season but was skating alongside Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl at practice." Oh my....

Ah, I get it, distributing the scoring, smart move.

That's hilarious Talking moose. I would have though his mastery would have gotten a higher rating though.

Regarding the Manning trade.

The Oilers made that trade from a position of weakness due to a lack of cap space.
A team with cap space could have picked up Manning for a draft pick. If you don't have cap space you have to move a player in order create the cap space.
Oilers don't have a lot of desirable contracts/players to trade, so it was goodbye Caggiula.

They also dipped into their LTIR, so that brings some questions regarding Sekera.

Imagine that you are strapped for cash.
Imagine that every car dealer in the world knows your situation.
Imagine the great deal that you're going to get.

Just looked at the next 10 games..... mostly ‘meh’ teams that a team vying for a playoff spot should beat.

Even with a submeh defense.

Big January boys..... big big.

Hate to say it, but we need goalies to steal 2-3 games here.... and the team to put more than 3 pucks in da net.

Gonna be interesting...... maybe not so inspiring.

I was chatting with a buddy that said that THE biggest problem with building a successful team in Edmonton is that the city is pretty boring. I agree with that to an extent. It certainly is what people call a blue collar town. It lacks any real fancy she she stuff that NHL studs would like.

But my comeback was.... so how are they making it happen in the Peg? That place is worse.....

Anyways. Hate to say it but she’s a must win tonight..... and it won’t be easy.

Expect to see Talbot and Kass traded by next week. Ethan Bear will get the call up this week.

We’ll get Simmonds I bet.

Winnipeg, worse than Edmonton, as a place to live...? I have lived in both. Flip a coin. Most days I liked Winnipeg better, some days not. Would rather live in neither.....Not that GP is any great shakes. Now Phoenix....is looking good.

It's okay Bessie, you don't need to make excuses for not watching.

We understand.

Please refer to me as other Oilers fans do, as "The Dark Cloud of Death". I've worked diligently to gain this moniker.

Oilers needed that win bad. Missed almost all of the last 7 games due to vacation. What a terrible run. Hope we have a good weekend down south.

Since you guys are done like diner, I thought we should start discussing the DRAFT LOTTERY.

Perhaps this will be your lucky year?

My Flames are a different topic. (And a fun one at that:-)
