Default Vintage Performance

Another great performance by the Soilers. When will we see one of those orange jerseys thrown on the ice?

You beat me to it. Another gem. After they fail to make the playoffs again this year, the same old stuff. Next year, next year!

Threads dead. Teams dead. Hitchcock's been dead for years and they got his hologram on the bench. What's going on here boys?

Shadaap!

We need D. Top 3 defense injured.

It’s a sticky wicket for sure.

But we’ll overcome!

Minor setbacks over the last bit.

No big deal.

Ughhh!

It’s like showing up year after year to see the world’s best jockey run the Kentucky Derby on a camel.

I would love to see what kind of return Talbot would bring after that joke of a play by the boards yesterday. Seriously? This team needs a shake up and quit doing it at the coaching level for once.

The oilers should rename the team to the Ford Pintos

My prediction is this:

Chia fired.....

Keith Gretzky is interim gm

Spooner and Lucic moved to Boston for a forward and a minor d

Pullijervi sent to Carolina for a D

I predict that we just miss the playoffs, but win enough to keep the fans interested.

Without Luu.... our new problem will be that Kass is the only one who’ll answer the Bell when people start slashing and hacking Drai and McD...... getting the Johnny hockey treatment.

I noticed Drai fighting back.... honestly, if we could teach him to fight..... that’d help a huge bunch.

Damn Klef and his broken finger.

All good points. I disagree on “having to answer the bell”. Those days are long gone. Realistically, how many times this year did the Oilers have to engage someone to answer the bell? Lucic is a detriment out there and still getting decent ice time. Kassian dangles every once in a while but proves he can’t finish. They both also don’t play tough and there isn’t a team in the NHL that is scared of them..

I would rather have a tough decent D Man like Gryba that could play defence and fight if needed. Sure wish the Oilers kept him at this point. The d line is very small now and they play small..

Yup, Bessie. All possibilities. Talbot, Nuge and others mentioned as well. Sure is a lot of chatter out there since the game yesterday. Oilers 4 points out of a wildcard spot but also 6 points out of last place.

I agree with most of this. Without Lucic they still have Kassian, Jujhar, and Nurse to take care of the rough stuff.

When they fire a Chia, they can add the goalie coach.....what’s his name.

Our other three possible fighters don’t scare no one.

Luu does. His intangibles are important...... but not 6 mill ...... I’d be ok with three.

It’d be nice if he could get over 10 goals.

Oh boy. Another trade. Caggiula and Garrison to Chicago for Brandon Manning and European defender Norell.

Yes, these are not big trades. Is Chiarelli panicking? Geez... FYI, Manning is the guy who broke McDavid's collar bone in his first year. I don't even have a comment on that right now. I can't believe it.

Anyone else notice that (for whatever reason) Luc is the one interviewed after every loss....he’s one helluva spokesman, that’s for sure
