Brutal game Leaky. Flames were the better team tonight, but Smith cost game without question. Does he really think he can play like crap and the team will get him a win anyway every game?

Ugh hate loosing to the ducks about as much as I hate loosing to the Coilers.
Guess they can stop talking about coming back to win, and maybe focus on leading a game early, for a change.
Hang that loss on Smith as we had momentum, only to loose it 27 seconds later.

I hang this on Peters, not Smith. Shaky, looking behind him, everybody can see that Smith is fighting it really bad and yet, Peters trots him out.

We should of had that. Some flakey goals cost us the two points. We will see how long this Save Smith experiment lasts. I wonder how long the players will put up with it.
Oilers going on up against the worst team in the league tonight. I know what your thinking but No, it's not a practice scrimmage.

Goaltending, Coach and the (top line in Nhl according to Hrudey,etc) are the problems. Top line +- is 0 YTD. Little Johnny wont go near the boards to fore check or back-check. Better enjoy first place while they can because the boat is starting to sink. The Ducks had 8 players on IR. Calg Shames were the sitting ducks in this one.

The shames couldn't even compete with the lowly Ducks. There not even Mighty Ducks anymore. You lost against a divisional rival that has a Duck for a mascot!
The shames are soft, weak, and it will be deja vu all over again for them. They'll be where they belong by Christmas and that's on the outside looking in!

Rittich gets the start tonight. The war drums over Smith are pounding here in Calgary. The sports talk guys are all over him. The newspapers are writing about him every day. I would guess the string he is hanging by is very short.
I would think they will give him one or 2 more starts before having to do something. Already Rittich is taking over in some ways.

But that still means Smith tomorrow. I do appreciate Peter's starting Rittich on the first of a back to back. If we can get the 2 points tonight then it would still be okay if the team is tired and Smith does Smith things tomorrow.
