Exactly right. When she announced that 'I think McDavid is getting an interference penalty', I have to say I was just awestruck by her insight.

What drives me crazy right now is that Holland thinking a 39 year old goaltender coming of an injury is magically going to solve the Oiler's problem of bleeding goals every night. McDavid and Draisaitl are good, but you will get no where needing to score 5+goals every night to win a game.

Read your comment then within 2 minutes read this on SBNation:
"Biggest news for Edmonton coming into this game is based on roster movement: Ethan Bear to IR, and Troy Grosenick to LA via waivers. With Smith coming in hurt, and potentially not good, Ken Holland needs to stop losing the third goalie on the roster to waivers. Such a waste of assets and terrible roster management."
Who is he going to get though, with essentially zero cap space? I think they put in an effort to get a UFA in the off season, but they obviously fell through. Might be able to pry a guy out of Columbus or Vegas, but I don't think they'd come cheap and some gymnastics would be required for the cap. He likely knows he has to do something, just easier said that done, and the quarantine doesn't help either, especially if a player is going the other way.

Kos was shaky to say the least but the team defense in front of him was horrible, going no where like this, be lucky if we don't finish just ahead of Vancouver and Ottawa, terrible to be at the cap and not have a lot to show for it on the back end. But then we oilers fans are used to this

First shot on Edmonton net is a goal. 6 goals with only 26 shots displays the goalie issues. The Kraut and Mcdangles play the last 6 minutes of the game as this club still has no depth.
Same ol same ol.
Good thing Ottawa is in the league so we have a chance at getting back to .500 every once in a while..

If you hang out on the Detroit boards, it’s very evident amongst their fan base how upset they are about the shambles Holland left their club in. He’s not the same GM he once was and like every other human, there are times when it’s time to call it a day and retire.
He has his work cut out here. It’s minus 40 this morning. There will never be decent free agents beating the Oil’s front office door down with their family’s to move here. When we went to the cup final in 06 look at mass exodus right after and we were a winning team then....

On a lighter note, my Grandfathers would be in total dismay if they suddenly came to life and were plopped in front of the TV to watch that game being announced by a woman and a Punjabi....

Ottawa is like a gift to the teams in the division, but Montreal even messed that up , and lost to them.
But on the positive side four teams from the division are guaranteed to make the playoffs , so regardless of how pathetic the division is, the odds are still good.

I haven’t put it on the goalie yet this year, but I’m putting that one square on Koskinen’s shoulders.
It was like I was watching Talbot 2.0. Let the first shot in, then proceed to make a few tough saves while letting in 3-4 softies at the worst possible time. He was brutal last night, plain and simple.
Yes, there were some D breakdowns, Bouchard had a bad one, and Barrie made a bonehead play in the O zone to give them a 3 on 1 vs McDavid, but those were shots and chances that the goalie should bail you out on. Kinda like Markstrom did on several occasions. We needed a couple of those but he shut the door.
The plus side is we put up 4 goals, 3 at 5X5, and got some depth scoring. That should be enough and would have been enough, if you eliminate the softies against.

How does Kosk look at his face in the mirror while shaving whenever? His stats are absolutely BRUTAL. He must check how he is doing versus his competitors and should see he is seriously abysmal.
Yah,yah the Oilers defense is suspect BUT not that first goal
Every team in the NHL knows his glove hand is AWFUL !!
When I played tennis, if my forehand went south, Coach would have me hit 500 forehands until it got better.
I guess there isn't such a thing as a puck feeder machine that changes speed and elevation. Maybe I should invent one, just for Kosk
On a lighter note, can you imagine how many decades the FLYERS fans had to put up with a great tems and ZERO goaltending

I’ve often wondered how Dustin Schwartz still has a job.
Goaltending has been a consistent weakness for years, and we’ve seen multiple goalies go on to success with other teams. That can’t all be on team defence.
Schwartz needs to lose his job and get our guys a fresh start. Skinner in particular deserves better.
