Too many.
Only need shotgun, centerfire and rimfire.
quality trumps quantity.

That would be the definition of "quality" in a firearm, no?

Depends on your definition of quality. I have an ugly, low quality off the shelf gun that I admittedly have tuned but that you're most welcomed to shoot against for pink slips. You name the yardage, I'm in all day long Oky, your range or mine. Bring your princess, my ugly piece of crap awaits.

Oh he'll no.

Starting out a collection and wanted to hear about what everyone has. This is a gun forum. No offense was meant at all.

Agreed.
Quality doesnt mean $$$$. Although they do tend to work well together. One should expect a certain level of favourable results for time/ money invested. But Eventually the inputs costs exceed the gains on any project.
No matter how well a subaru vehicle may be made, they wont do to well at nascar.

.22LR 10/22 Rueger
12 ga. Stoeger P350
12 ga. Benelli Super Vinci
410 H&R Pardner
.308 Savage (Older than me and shoots great)
.270 Browning X-Bolt Stainless Stalker

They all have their uses but the shotguns definitely come out more.

Now why oh why in this day and ago would anyone need to possess something as medieval as a firearm? ...

If I were in the market I would say a t/c venture would make for a decent and accurate platform and the venerable 30-06 would be a fine choice of cartridge - if I was in the market.
