Seeing on Twitter that RCMP are confirming that 14 have passed away. Just awful. I'm sick to my stomach

This is horrible news. My heart goes to the friends and families of all involved.

I’ve got pretty good inteL that the 2 young men I knew personally, are alive. The extent of their injuries is all over the page, but the common theme is they are alive.

28 families will be changed forever. 14 will be grieving losses.

There is going to be a need for a whole lot of shoulders to cry and lean on.

More importantly there’s going to have to be a lot of understanding and open ears available, the worst of this tragedy may have just happened, but it’s far from over, there will likely be other issues to follow, a lot of it in the weeks, months and years to come.

God Bless.

Was sitting in a special Friday night Church service when a cell phone went off about 7 oclock. Lady got up and went to foyer to answer it. Came back in crying. She announced her relative had just died in the horrible crash by Tisdale. At that time she had said so far they knew 11 had died so early on it was known it was going to be awful, awful. Such a tragedy.

My heart felt prayers go out to the families and even friends who are going through this horrific thing that has happened. Words dont really convey how i feel right now. Sad Sad.

My heart goes out to everyone involved. Obviously the families that lost loved ones, but also all the first responders as well as stars, doctors, nurses etc that stuff never goes away especially when kids are involved.

I personally know 2 of the players on the team. One is still alive, but that’s all I know.

This is a sad day, please take a moment in repose or prayer.

The family of the coach just released that he passed away in the crash.
Facebook/Darcy Haugan

The first person confirmed dead in the tragic Humboldt Broncos bus crash in Saskatchewan was team coach and general manager Darcy Haugan. Haugan is survived by his wife, Christina, and their two sons, Carson and Jackson.

I worked 2 years in Humboldt in the 70's at Feed-Rite Mills.

Great community will be devastated at this loss

God Bless, the players and families of the Humboldt Bronco. This is tragedy. Wife’s family from the Humboldt area. This reminds me of Swift Current accident. Lost a buddy (God Speed Trent Kresse) in that accident. Not sure what happened. Road between Tisdale/Nipawin is straight prairie highway. Still lots of snow on ground. God Speed young men.
