Still US is strong and could put up 5 goals in the first 5 minutes of the third.
The US ego once broken… usually causes them to spiral into bad plays.
It’s the coaches job now to steady the troops. Focus the kids on playing their game and aggressively at that.
Control the puck and start shooting.

Not just out of the gold medal game, out of the tournament with no chance of playing for even a bronze. Gotta hand it to CZE, they are hungry for a win and are outplaying the USA.

Likely for them… beating and knocking out the US is on par with a medal.

That was probably the best ending to a game I ever seen. The McTavish save, the Finnish defender knocking the puck out, goalie going left to right to make initial save, the goal. Wow. Just wow.

One thing that made me chuckle was, after the game the camera was panning the crowd and at the boards a small young fan/player held up a placard stating something like "I HOPE TO PLAYING IN THE 2029 IIHF".....
