For targets I like my wife's 7mm WBY. For my fave cartridge I like my 510 wells the best. Fun to shoot and is my first custom rifle.

My X-bolt SS, like this rifle more then anything I've had before. Big fan of the .270 and even bigger fan of the 270wsm, the best.

Everyone know i love the big boomer... but my favorite will always be the .338 Lapua magnum. I will never stop shooting this caliber.

I have a good feeling when shooting the .300 win mag too...

For hunting either my 6.5X55 Express rifle or my custom Ruger single shot in .303 Britiah.

For messing about at the range, any of my single shots are fun.

My favourite type of match shooting however is Palma and TR ( although have not shot a registered mach for quite some time) and am a big fan of the 308 in a 950T action.

Any rifle in 30.06 for hunting, i'm partial to Weatherby Sporters and Tikka T3s. As for target I like the same in .223rem.

Working favorite rifle and chambering is a Sako 85 Grey wolf in 300WSM. Sentimental favorite is an FN Browning Safari in 300 Weatherby. This rifle looks as good as the day it left the factory 49 years ago as a 300 H&H.

Hunting: 7-08 Browning micro, very light & fast handling, but still very accurate.

Range: rarely go to the range without my Rem 700 heavy barrel in .223 A real joy to shoot after the big thumpers, and very accurate into the bargain !!

I actually like all of my rifles....all are capable of .75 MOA or better.....so which ever one I am shooting well at the time takes the cake for me!

Some of the chamberings I shoot are .223, .22-250, .240WBY, .270Win, .300WM, .300WBY

I have Remingtons, Savages, Weatherbys, a Heym, a Tikka.....mostly because they all have left handed bolt offerings.

I shot my first big game animal with a borrowed Savage 99 in .300 savage. I have always had a soft spot for that combination and I finally bought one and as it happens I shot my last moose with it.

I have hunted with and killed most of my big game with a Winchester M70 in .264 win. mag. It has been good to me.

I have shot a heap of grouse and several coyotes with a Savage M24 in .222 over 20 gauge. Its a fun gun.

My wife gave me a Remington M7600 in .35 whelen for Christmas one year and I shot a B&C white-tail with it. So it is a favourite.

I have had passing affairs with several other rifles and cartridges but these are my best friends.

I have one of these with my name on it, and my Son's name will be on it after me. Great little rifle IMHO

Also have one of these but in a .22lr /.410 combo....again a great little package and really hard to find from what I hear.

For hunting 30-06. I've shot gophers to Alaskan/Yukon moose with my Remington 700. It'll get the job done.

For target shooting I like my CZ455 in .22LR (still waiting for the .17HMR barrel). I recently got a .223/5.56 AR/M4 carbine and it's a close second at the range.

For varmints the .22-250 Vanguard comes out. I'm finding though I like the .223 (recoil etc) over the .22-250 so there may be another non-restricted rifle purchase in my future, probably a CZ or another Vanguard.

I have two hunting rifles I switch between as the mood or need strikes me,
both are Rem 700, one is a Classic in 7-08 that has been tefloned and has a Macmillan Fibregrain on it. The other is a KS Mountain rifle in .338Win.
For targets I have a #1 in 32-30Rem, 28" RKS octagon w/Canjar set trigger and a Browning 1885 in 32-40win w/28" RKS stainless octagon. Both are set up for breech seating and shooting cast bullets.

My Fav cartidges for hunting are the 308 Norma Magnum, and the 270. Fav target cartridge is the 6.5x55 Swede

My 308 Norma is done up on a Mod 70 classic and Boyds Thumbhole, powder coated and a Zeiss rapid z 800 - that combo shoots the lights out!
My 270s are in a Rem 721 in a Boyds Thumbhole and a Nikon scope, great lil gun
The other 270 is one my wife bought me for my Bday - a Pre 64 270 that I had put on hold at the local shop. She new I was wanting it so she went in and bought it, I"m good friends with the owner and one of the guys so they helped her out. I just put a Boyds classic on it, and tried my other 270 loads - it shoots 1/2"!!!! I was really happy as I haven't even started playing with the load yet, and not sure I will.

most years my freezer is filled using one of my two model 70's either the 270win or the 30-06

i go through varmint rifles like wildfire and havent fallen in love yet in that department.

i bought a marlin 1895 GBL this year in 45-70 and killed my bull elk with it....i think that rifle may stay with me a while like the winchesters.

Got a model 70 lightweight in 243 that i cut my teeth on for deer and coyote. My a-bolt medallion in 270 wsm has become one of my favourites. My ruger african in 375 ruger is gaining ground on the 270. I really like the heft and feel of a safari type rifle and this one fits me good and shoots groups that make my 243 wince. If i had to choose one though it would have to be the 243 just because it has the scars and has collected alot of game for me.

Neatest action Krag in 6.5x55
Fun to shoot, hunt and working on reloads 303 british Number 4 mark 1

Had lots of 22's but my current fav is a single shot by North American Arms Company (groups better than most I have tried)

But 308 has seen the most range and hunting time.

My favorite long guns are my T/C Contender carbines have 3 gen 1 s/s actions and a new s/s G2 frame/butt stock/fore end coming this week also have 10 carbine barrels for them =

21" blued tapered 17 Rem
16.5" s/s tapered 22LR
21" s/s tapered 223
21" s/s tapered 308Bellm (308X444) 150gr bullets @ 2620fps
21" tapered 375JDJ
18" tapered 10mm
14" bull 45 Colt
22" bull 45-70
21" VR 410
24" Gonic 50 Cal muzzle loader

Carried the 45-70 combo when I was blacktail hunting this morning.

Next would be my OD green Robinson Arms XCR-L in 6.8 SPC spec 11 chamber 1-11" twist it is a super accurate fast handling deer/coyote rifle and just this last week I recieved my 10 round 6.8spc pistol mags I load them with 95gr TTSX @ 2825fps and have no issues reaching out to 300 yards when conditions are right on deer.

When game gets bigger than deer I grab my Rem 700 LSS in either 300RUM or 375RUM...

For hunting I grab my old Ruger 77, 35 Whelen, open sights. Does everything I want. 200gr for deer, 250s for bear, elk or moose. Split the difference with 225 gr.
Ammo can be a challenge to find so I stock up when I see it. Handloads open up a bunch of new possibilities.

I have others but the Ruger is my working rifle.
