I see your buddy as the worst kind of bully, one who is beyond consequence and he may well be but it won't be because I didn't try.

Please do. Prove that you are not an anti-hunter/anti-trapper and a liar.

Being called a liar is not "crap" to me. However, I read the board rules and I am expected not to take problems into my own hands.
I guess being called anti hunting, anti trapping, and a LIAR are not "belittling remarks" as per the board rules.
The thread is derailed and good old boy diesel walks again. He should feel pumped now, the rough necks better watch out.
I consider the thread closed.

You have slung as much crap as anybody on this forum, your just refuse to see it, like everything else you disagree with. You started this entire fiasco on all of these threads.

You read the rules, and continue to break them on every single damn thread you derail?
You are rude, and just try to stir the pot. You act like a tough guy in every other thread, but now you try pulling the bully card?
Grow up.

You can sell hides or rugs as long as they are processed. No registration for sale required. You can gift raw or processed bear hides.

Let me correct the above. You can sell bear hides if they are processed without registration for sale.

Have a look at page 1 of this thread. I took a screenshot of the alberta regs. That is the correct information.

Pretty sure a bear is considered a big game animal not a fur bearing animal when it comes to that. Its on that screen shot.

I'm sorry but you're incorrect. A bear is a big game animal, not a fur bearing animal. You can sell a raw bear hide to anybody, they do not have to be a fur buyer.

Did you pull that from the hunting regs or the trapping regs ?
Edit . Never mind . I see trapping is mentioned in the upper portion of your post.

It is from the full edition of the trapping regs DW. I confirmed years ago with F&W that this does indeed pertain to all individuals though.

I was always under the impression that wildlife had to be registered before it could be sold. I'd probably do the same as you and personally check with F&W my self before making any deals. As far as gifting I can't see a problem with that. I donated a full mount black bear to the GC tourist center that ended up in a giant mural at the rec center. We got a receipt for X amount of dollars as a donation tax write off.

Our hunting and trapping synopsis (regs) are mostly found within the Wildlife Act and the Wildlife Act Regulations. This is where we can see the full legal descriptions of prohibited and exempted actions.
From the Wildlife Act Regulations.
https://www.canlii.org/en/ab/laws/re...-143-1997.html
Part 5 Possession of and Commerce in Animals
Schedule 1
(Section 5 of this Regulation)
Exemptions and Exclusions
Black bear claws and skins - ss57(1) and 62(1) and (2)
20(1) The claws of a black bear killed in accordance with the Act and this Regulation are exempt from the application of sections 57(1) and 62(1) and (2) of the Act if they have not been surgically or otherwise separated from the entire skin of the black bear.
(2) Subject to subsection (1), the skins, including portions of skins, of black bear killed in accordance with the Act and this Regulation are exempt from the application of sections 57(1) and 62(1) and (2) of the Act.
Sec 57(1) and 62(1) and (2) are here in the Wildlife Act
https://www.canlii.org/en/ab/laws/st...00-c-w-10.html
What this says is that black bear skins ( processed and raw) are exempt from trafficking regulations when the conditions are met (legally harvested, claws can only be sold when intact with whole skin.) without the requirements of any permits when sold in Alberta (export permits may apply).
