Nice buck Sharpie! Did you have to haul it out of a coulee? Almost looks that way in the picture. I've hauled a couple out of coulees south of lethbridge when I was younger and ambitious. I remember it was still hard work.....

Oldest son got his first deer this season. Not much of a story, it was incidental to a grouse hunt.
He made a great shot with IncrediGirl’s .270. Super proud of him!
He and his little brother helped with everything - makes me a proud poppa to be able to see how they are learning how to bring a deer from field to table.

Had enough time to set up my chair and eat a granola bar when this guy walked up about 30 yards away. Quartering towards shot shot with my muzzleloader, thats why the exit hole looks so far back.

In keeping with the B&C theme, maybe go Boom and Crockpot?
I’m definitely in the same camp as far as trophies go. Just want the meat
Poke & Yum for the archery success???
I’d rock some patches on a shirt/jacket and decals on a window.

That is the smarter way to do it for sure! I couldn't have got to mine that way unfortunately.....Now I'm smart enough not to shoot it in the first place if it looks like it will be the death of me to haul it out.....
Bigbore, that's a dandy bull! And good shooting, that's a fair long poke, nice to drop them where they stand like that.

Shot a Muley doe at 466m. She didn't go 20.
Shot an old WT buck. He only had one front tooth not ground down to the gums. He didn't go 20.
Phil shot a nice Muley after we spotted him on the top of a hill. Climbed up the backside to get the drop from above. He didn't go 20.

My 13 year old got his first whitetail opening day of rifle season. My target 5x5 buck didn’t show himself, but this fella made the mistake of coming right to us. 40 yard frontal shot and Matty’s first whitetail was down! Made for a long drag out, but totally worth it. We’ve had a great season so far.

No, we were set up waiting for a different buck. This one came straight to us - saw us, spooked, but then came right back and stared at us through the brush. With 2 minutes left of legal light, matty took a frontal shot and anchored him. We didn’t rattle or call. It’s a little early for that, i think.
