That is an understatement!

Things happened so quickly I didn't even have time to get all wound up and jittery. Instincts just kicked in.

As I was shooting this one, I had a 5x5 sneaking up behind me barking and getting closer. 3 shots later from the 450 BM he still was hesitant to leave and still barking at me. He got to within 50m or less, and hovered around 75m the whole time, which seamed like eternity, but was more likely 20min.

The bulls were in full rut for our hunt. Called in multiple bulls and at 1 point had a 5x5 to within 15 yards. The big 8x7 bull was a tag team effort the big old bugger did not want to go down so he got a couple extra rounds. Then as you can tell he expired in a spot that was not so much fun for quartering and packing out. But hey no one said hunting was easy.

Shot the 5x5 bull the next morning for some good eats.
