Great binos with excellent optics and good quality. I just bought a set after having borrowed them from a buddy a few times. Binos rarely go on a sale that good (33% off) so I figured it was time to get a set for myself.

This.

I like my new Leupod Mojave 10x50s in the BK3 lense. A set in the Cascades would be good buy.

Had my Leupold Olympics 10x50 for over 18 years and were a Great Bino. Got the. Replaced under warranty this fall as a eyepiece plastic insert cracked and I said to fix but since they don't produce the model anymore I was given the new pair.

Would defiantly recommend a pr in 10x42

A friend has the Nikon Monarch 5 in 10x42. Great Bino for the $$$.

IMO don't cheap out too much. If you can spend the additional couple hundred if needed.

I may go to 8 power as the tens are a little hard to hold steady when you get to be old.
Agree

Same 25 years ago only I went with the Swarovski ( 10X42) .

On a related note I picked up a pair of Swarovski 7X30 on EBay 2 years ago, they are a nice addition BUT I wouldn't sell the 10X42 pair.

At that level ( Swarovski, Zeiss, Leica) it becomes personal preference, no bad choice.

Look through a pair of premium Binos and very few will question them.

I purchased the Monarch 5 a couple yrs ago hoping They would be all I ever wanted. As it turned out they are ok but not what I had hoped. They are likely good value but if you want the best I think you will have to pay more.
