Which was another point I forgot to mention...

Any Canadian who hopes Trump gets in as president doesn't realize how bad Trump would be for Canada...

Trump would make changes and it would be countries like ours expenses. If Trump gets in expect more issues like BSE, Keystone Pipeline etc that take advantage of us to better their own country.

Not to worry - if you believe what Trump says the rest of the world has nothing the US needs to make itself great again.

Actually do some research on this and you will see all the lies Trump makes. Most of what comes out of his mouth are lies but the mindless masses eat it up because he is entertaining and "taking on the system"...

Look at how he buys and uses his endorsements, one of the latest his Chris Christie puppet... He uses the same tactics you guys think he is going to get rid... Think Mexico is going to build the US a wall? Ok...

He is crude and playing with the system because he knows how television works and because he knows how to manipulate the mindless masses... Trump would be the US's version of Putin.
Finally another anti-Trumpster! While I disagree with you on Sanders (I think his promises will plunge the U.S. into even more debt, and he is just too old; kinda reminds me of someone from "Seinfeld"...), I agree with your comments about Trump. And what is very interesting is how the ant-Trump Republicans are now trying to figure out ways to block him from getting the nomination. Democrats are buying Republican memberships so they can vote against him, and you can bet some Republicans will vote Democrat to keep him out of the White House...
He is a misogynistic megalomaniac. I am very hopeful that he will say or do something so monumentally stupid that he will start to lose momentum. the KKK blunder was a good step...
This gasbag has zero experience in government, has been bankrupt four times, married three times(twice to immigrants, which he seems to forget...) and has no clue what it is to be poor or middle class. He got his start with the now infamous "small loan of a million dollars" from his dad...Oh, gee! And poor Melania has only 150 pairs of shoes in her New York penthouse closet!!

It just amazes us how popular he is, "shaking things up", amongst people who want "change". Voters up here wanted "change"; look what we have to show for it. A Trump presidency would be disastrous, and embarrassing. Yuk.

Default This is the problem!!!

[QUOTE=molly;3160015]Hell, NO. And from what I have been reading, he has many Republicans very worried how a Trump nomination or worse, a Trump presidency, could negatively affect their party. I cannot think of a more offensive person to have ever run for this office. He has offended almost every ethnic group and god help anyone who dares to differ with his opinions. Imagine this buffoon trying to engage in delicate diplomatic negotiations with another leader...He would just yell at everyone! And imagine a First Lady with nude modelling in her resume...I suppose she could distract the other world leaders while her husband yells at them.

The fact that you are basing your judgement on things that are solely to do with political correctness screams that you are part of the problem, at least your mindset anyway. His job isn't to hug it out, and suck up to the media, and give everything away. His job would be to run a country. It's your mindset that has us as a country and a province so screwed, Shiny Pony says all the right things and panders to the mindless and the media, and now we are totally bent over leaving the next generation at least 150-250 billion in debt, just watch. Nice work. It's refreshing that a guy doesn't have to walk on egg shells in fear of the political correctness train and its ensuing backlash. Say what people are thinking and are too scared to say, that is why he is popular. Unbelievable that you base this on political correctness issues. As far as Bernie go, sure, lots of great ideas and energy at rallies that look very similar to and NDP youth rally. Just one problem, paying for it after scaring business away, good luck with that. Working great for the NDP so far isn't it. And threatening to force Walmart to pay more and pay medical, get real. There's thousands waiting to replace the guy complaining about it. Would he be worse off with no job or a low paying job? I don't know you but I find people like you frustrating as you don't seem to get it, but that's my opinion. Have a good one.

Sanders doesn't have any really crazy promises though and most of them would not happen overnight. The president is a powerful man but he can't just flick his fingers and change the entire system... Sanders would spend his entire 4 year term just trying to lay some of the plans and ideas out and trying to prove that it can be done then it would be up to the people to re-elect him or elect someone similar(maybe his VP) to make it happen.

Far too many people are scared away from Sanders based on unsubstantiated fears of some of his policies. Most of these fears are due to them reading and watching slanted news that twists or outright lies about what Sanders would do(like those that claim taxes would go up to 90% etc which is a bunch of bs...).

What people need to be understanding about Sanders is that this is a guy who has been fighting for human rights and actually making a difference in the country his entire life. In the 60's in college he was fighting for black rights, through his careers as mayor, house representative and senator he has been hugely successful and a well liked individual. That is why he has never lost a re-election in any of those position and won most re-elections handily... Look at how his state backed him in the presidential campaign yesterday, 86%! A nut job socialist that the media has him painted out to be wouldn't get that kind of backing...

Sanders is fighting an uphill battle. Big money and therefore most other politicians and news outlets are against him but he has been gaining steam and I am really hoping he can pull this out. He is the only presidential candidate with any kind of honesty and integrity and is the only one that will actually fight for the middle class people and that is why the US needs him right now and not some egotistical lunatic or another lying bought politician...

Forget your pill this morning? Did I once mention politically-correct anything? One does not have to be a rude SOB to say what one thinks, politically "correct" or not. And why would you think I voted Liberal or NDP?
Have a nice day.

I do. And I would take him over the bafoon running our country right now, sure couldent be any worse. Seems only leftys don't like him because he "hurts feelings" the way he talks. Wish we had politicians that called it as they see it and didn't worry about hurt feelings or being politically correct. Can't see anything stopping that runaway train. Hair doo don 2016!

The idea of Trump winning frightens me.

He's contradicted himself so many times its almost impossible to know where he stands. Do the people believe what he's saying right now, or what he said last year, or 5 years ago? Can you honestly trust someone who changes so frequently just to follow popularity trends? A man without demonstrated conviction and questionable morals.

I don't dislike him because of 'hurt feelings', I dislike him as a candidate because he has a demonstrated history of doing what's best for himself, and only for himself.

I'm with RavYak, Sanders is the man the US needs right now.

Most Europeans consider him moderate.

He is fighting for a few things (free healthcare and free education the big ones) that many if not most other developed nations already have.

Is this your definition of democracy?

Democracy: Lying to the people to make them think you are going to do what they want so you get elected based on lies and false promises.

A good leader does not do what is popular, a good leader does what is necessary.

Huh? Not sure I understand your point, the money is theirs, they should be able to spend or not spend as they see fit shouldn't they? I don't see how their not spending their money means they are taking from someone else.

Governments should make it attractive to invest, then the economy would not be as badly hit, correct?

Hard to run out of money if you're holding onto it though, one could say its impossible...

No. But I don't really know anyone, rich or poor, who isn't trying to make more money (well, I guess I do know of that one kid....), which generally occurs by spending money, in one form or another. You may know the odd millionaire or businessman, did he hit $3 million, think "Good enough, I can retire on that", and shut everything down or are they trying to make $5M?

south of the border less then 500 people control almost half of the wealth of the nation. it's not those with a few million, it's those with several billion that have the greatest influence.

Democracy is about allowing the poor to no be controlled by the rich because there are far more poor people then rich people. If rich people control the flow of capital and the functions of the government then poor people aka the majority suffer.

Same principle applies though. Has Gates/Buffet/Bezos/Mars/Musk/etc. shut it down and are living in isolation with their billions or are they contributing to the economy and providing jobs for thousands, if not millions, of people?
