Congrats to you, you won't see that kind of wood on many M70's these days!
I was wondering about these, since their not listed as a model online and I can't find out anything else about how many there are etc. The floor plate says Custom High Grade.

I like a busier grain, this is the nicest stock that I own. This was actually the result of a lower to mid priced New Zealand blank.

Nice classic rig Elk!

No JD848. "B" guns refers to Browning, Benelli and Beretta. Whereas a "bee" gun refers to Weatherby. I will post pictures of it, but it's in the truck and I'm in the shop. It's a Kral Arms, which is something I hadn't heard of before. You can google it and see their variety of offerings.

I handled it a couple of times while visiting Flys Etc. in High River. It felt nice, seemed to fit me well. Swings fast due to it's light weight. I liked the wood for such an economical gun. It came with 5 chokes, shims for both LH and RH cant. An extra fiber optic front sight and a brass bead. The buttstock features a typical rubber recoil pad. It catches and drags on my clothing as I quickly bring it up. Not a problem, I may change that to a hard pad in the future should it continue to please me.

Upon leaving the store, my first test was to cycle some handicap 2 3/4" target loads and some 2 3/4" upland loads through it. It worked flawlessly. I've managed to hit clays very well but didn't fair all that good on a covey of Huns. The retail price is $489.99, however Udo gave me a small discount.

I did strip it down to wipe off any factory lube that may affect cycling and wiped the metal with G96 and the wood with Howard's Feed & Wax. I wasn't disappointed with the internal construction. However I will resist final judgment until I put it through further shooting. But as of now, I'm certainly not disappointed.
