Thats peanuts compared to the cost of a flatdeck not to mention all of the assets required to make up a carrier group.2 rings of defense around the carrier with the backbone being the Ticonderoga class.Then there is the carrier air wing and of course the submarines.
One US carrier group is probably more than Canada's entire defence budget.
