You could try Kim and Tom at Amigo. I think they are around cochrane and have pigeons, bobs, and huns.

I am going to resurrect this thread, as it is one of the best AO threads of all time IMO.

Try to keep the chatter to a minimum.... just more dog pics!

Kiva retrieved her first big Jackrabbit yesterday. Went looking for Huns and stumbled on this rabbit. She hesitated looking at the dog, so I caught her with a load of #7 from my old Parker 16 gauge. Took some encouragement for Kiva to pic it up; after a little bit (and me walking out of sight) she grabbed it and brought it to hand.

I thought I posted this last fall, but it obviously wasn't on this thread.

I mentored these two young ladies hunting last fall/winter. Can't say enough good things about their humour, attitude, and perseverance. This was the biggest wild old rooster I saw last fall. And of course, Kiva and Parker were there!

Wyatt taking a break from trials to do some work from Horseback. Locked up on a pair of huns at 400 yards after having lost him over the top of the coullee for 7 minutes.

Far cry from a "in action" picture. [IMG][/IMG]
For the record he was starring at a pigeon through the window.
This will have to do for now.

Looks like you managed a successful pheasant safari Cat. Wish I could have mistimed with you guys, but there was no free time...

It was fun, but sometimes frustrating as well- we killed more porcupines in one area than we did roosters- I shot three myself
Birds were elusive and , well, acting like roosters!
Good to see Hornhead again, and ol' Tramp was as goofy and as birdy as ever , even at 9 years old he can bash the bull rushes like a champ!

Amazing birds! What general area did you find wild roosters? I'm guessing Taber/Lethbridge area?
