.. We understand that those 248 Moose belong to ABA and a few other Bowhunters... same as the Quality Whitetails that reside there. Obviously they are very special. Why a lowly X-Bow hunter would like a piece of that action is beyond me. The Outfitters inside ABA who are working the area will certainly be monitoring the situation so it appears you have nothing to worry about -for now .

You must have forgot about the moose draw where xbows are legal weapons in 248?
Oh many of the white tails can be hunted with a crossbow too.
You have bows and can shoot them....why not utilize them?

So hard done by...I almost feel sorry for you. It's so bad, hardly worth going outside anymore I would imagine. I'll say a prayer for you.
You did said you were a spry 77 years old, get out with your bow during archery season...you said you are still capable I can't fathom the reluctance to enjoy it with the tools you already own.
It's like daddy got you a Lexus but you wanted a Beamer.
If you can shoot a bow but choose not to, you have only yourself to blame.
Reminds me when kids mope around because they are bored...

Thanks for the thoughts, prayers, sympathy and advice Lefty, but they are not req'd. No need to get personal.
My comments are not intended to be about me personally. I am only one of a large number of Bow hunters who share the same sentiments regarding X-Bow inclusion. Like yourself I tend to get a bit vocal at times.
That said, I'm out of this one. I'm sure they will be another one down the road.
Have a great Christmas and Holiday season! ..

I actually don't personally.
That said, I do relish a good debate on a subject that is close to the heart - sans the self righteous folks packing an overbearing sense of entitlement, who somehow consider their chosen method to be superior over all others and will spew nonsensical BS ad nauseatum to protect their God (government) given "rights" at the expense of fellow hunters. Not saying you are in that camp Lefty, but obviously some here certainly are!

I can, and I will, but for now let's simply let it ride for a spell shall we?
Simply want to pass along my wishes for a Very Merry Christmas to ALL Alberta's Archers, regardless of the type of Bow they may use!
Happy HoliDaze!!
