Kosk. First Oiler goalie in history to start a season 5 game win streak.

I heard Tippett on the bench when he pulled Koskinen.... "Whoever ties this up gets a donair on me."

Now THATS what I'm talkin bout!
Limiting our losing streaks to no more than two games. Three game skids can prove fatal towards the end of the season when every point is crucial.
Great game, great battle for the come from behind win against a great team, just AWESOME!
They are playing with a lot of confidence right now, they sure are fun to watch when they play like that.
And the GWG, L-D!!
LOVE that kid!
Gonna have to change my Avatar soon

That was pretty exciting. Agreed on LD, the kid's awesome. Goalie situation, a real question mark going into the year, has done their job so far. I thought McDavid's play to split the D, literally duck under a guy all the while controlling the puck at full speed and getting a shot on net (crossbar) could have been a consideration for play of the year. I don't know how you do that. What a treat to watch.

Fun game to watch. CM is some kind of player! Must admit I'm a Flames fan but found the Edm. game a better game to watch.
Shoulda beat them by at least a couple more. So many hit goal posts!
Good on ya Edm!
Enjoy your team. I did.

Ethan Bear honestly might be one of the best Oilers D thus far. What a player.

It was definitely a good game Connor and Leon are awesome to watch.
Did we just see OV getting old last night? Seems like he may have run out of gas in the third, just a bit though!

Does he have potential for a Calder Trophy recipient?
I realize it's early in the season, but if he keeps trending this way I see his name on the ballot.

And a 5th round pick too! Second best. Connor was a no brainer though!

Bear played in 18 games with the Oil in 17/18 and 37 and 52 games respectively with the Condors in '17/'18 and '18/'19. Don't know for sure if the AHL qualifies as a "major professional league", but would think it would as it's the second highest league in NA and they do get paid.
That being said, if things continue as they are, it would be an incredibly long shot. Hughes and Makar, also both dmen, have nearly triple the points Bear does with an equal or better +/-.

Yes, certainly was a blowout, 6-2 win for Panthers.
In fairness, what coach puts an injured goalie back in to start a period? And then leaves him in for 3 goals in just 65 seconds.
Anyway, certainly was a good prediction on the blowout.

Probably a coach that’s asks the tender “you good to go?” And the tender says yes... oh well

That's probably exactly what happened. Maybe they should have a trainer make the decision next time....

6-2 was the final after an empty net goal and a meaningless goal with 20 seconds left. 4-2 was the real game with an excellent push in the 3rd. After going 5-0, Kosk was bound to have an off game eventually. Good to see him shut the door in the 3rd and give the boys the ability to come back.
Oh, since the Shames fans finally showed up here, I will take this rare opportunity to say....thanks a bunch for Neal!

Hey you guys are 2 points ahead of last years pace!!!!
Oh wait.. I forgot how that ended up for you.. Never mind.
As for James Neal.. Kinda wondering if you guys can put this in the same category of planning the parade in October...
2 points in last 4 games and is -3. His ice time is dropping as well.
Lucic though is doing what he does and is a fan favourite night in and night out. He is what he is and he is effective at it. Love his try level this year. Somethings a bit to much. I swear I saw him pull 1.5 min shift the other night.
Good luck to you guys this year. It would be fantastic to see you make it through a year with out throwing a coach under the bus or watching Jerseys being thrown on the ice.
