Agree we need more, shouldn't suck for a period or more every game. Did ok last night but would take some of the Oilers scoring ability. We are to soft in puck battles. Last night was way better and didn't have many giveaways, or turnovers.

Default Bennett

So Simmonds is out for 6 weeks with a hand injury. I am betting the Leafs are going to want Bennett. What do you think the Leafs will send back?

Ok, just wishing.

I suspect they are offering Kerfoot, I'd rather have a draft pick.

The Canucks might be better trade partners. Dim Jim, is very desperate to make some changes.

I can almost guarantee it will be Canadian team. 14 day quarantine means 6-8 games. Seasons is already 25% over and since they didn't budge on Dubios's quarantine time, I can't see there being a lot of cross border trades this year.

Markstrom was ROCK SOLID last night, he was the game difference, other than Kosk

Rumours were Virtanen, and Gaudette. Don’t know too much about either of them.

If only single games were considered great sample sizes......nonetheless, it was true for last night.

Detroit scratched Martha today. That will add to the Bennet rumours.

Mantha would be awesome even if we had to add a draft pic say Oilers 3rd rounder

That would be wishful thinking. Yzerman drafted Deangelo in Tampa Bay. Mantha is above Bennett's value. I would imagine if Mantha was scratch if was for a trade with NYR, not the Flames.

How many bottles were lost last night?????
That was a different game. Kinda sloppy, kinda fun. Weird.

What are you guys thinking about so many games in a row against the same team. I lost some interest in the wine peg series and am wondering if I will feel the same with 4 games in row against Vancouver..

Over all this team confuses me. I have-not seen much emotion at all this year and the ground work for that is amazing. The first period stuff is turning into a pathetic constancy... What ever these guys are doing before a game needs to change. Perhaps they are purposefully trying to keep the emotions down after the last game? No idea really...

Sure am missing coaching my Junior team.... We were having a awesome year. #@$@$@^%!!!!!!!

So something from a above post made me go look up Lucic's stats for this year..

He is on track for a 40 point season (If we would have played 82)

Great start to the season for our "Tractor" Out scoring the used bag of pucks we sent north as well.

How about 20% of the season?

Lucic: 3 G, 2 A, 5 Pts, 16 SOG, 11:20 ATOI, Hits 27, +/- 1, Corsi 54.7%, Fenwick 54.8
Neal: 2 G, 1 A, 3 Pts, 17 SOG, 13:03 ATOI, Hits 8, +/- -3, Corsi 47.6, Fenwick 46.4

I think most, except through and through biased Oiler fans, would come to the conclusion that Edmonton is paying the better play to play against them.

Games played might be important.

Neal - 7 games played
Lucic - 11 games played

Stats are for losers.
Watch Lucic play. He does not belong in the NHL.

He is not the effective player he used to be, I will agree to that. Funny when the Oilers had him, the fans were not making these comments, now hes a Flames player, they all come out of the woodwork. LMAO. Some things never change. If the Flames got McJesus in a trade, we would hear the same BS.
You can see that Lucic still gets respect from opposing players when hes on the ice, everyone is aware. I noticed the lunatic Kassian was pretty well behaved, did he get a warning from Lucic I wonder?
Anyway, I will enjoy the bottle I won on Sat night. I suspect Calgary will win a few more and Edm will win a few too. Should be good hockey towards the end of the season, especially if these 2 teams are still close in the standings.

Feel free to pro-rate it down to the second if you want to, doesn't really change anything.

I wondered why Neal was only at -1, gotta give that boy more time!

Not true at all. Fans were elated to get rid of the 7.5 million dollar pylon.

I'm not an oilers fan, just rather see them win than the Flames (spit). McJ would be the best in the league no matter which team he played for. The same as Lucic being the worst.
It may look like players are respecting Lucic, Its more like the coaches told them to stay away just in case he falls.

It doesn't matter. Neal did not want to be here anymore. Towards the end he was pouting, had a poor attitude, and produced nothing. Rather have a pylon with a good attitude that is not a cancer in the room.

I think it was like that for both sides. Actually it was a good trade for all involved.

I wouldn't consider 35% more game time as "seconds". But if we did pro-rate it, Lucic is leading is hits and Neale is leading in shots on goal. Everything else would be dead even.

So again it comes down to the gamble of whether or not Lucic waives his no trade clause for the expansion draft.
