Lac Ste. Anne
Was out Jan. 31, ice was 19" just out past the shacks from the Alberta Beach launch, snow wasn't bad, but you'd break through into some slushy spots once in awhile.

Pine Lake
Anyone out to Pine lake this past weekend? What the ice conditions. And who's heading to the fishing derby on the 16th.

we've got our tix for the derby. I've still never seen anything big come out of that lake, but it's a fun time anyhow. Haven't been out there since September, but heard the ice is nearly 2-feet thick right now. Definitely SHOULD BE easy driving...

Has anyone been out around any of the lakes around Edmonton since the dump of snow Tuesday? Just wondering if driving on the lake is a real possibility or will busting out the snow shoes will be a better decision?

Chains
Haha my little Toyota pickup spent a night on pigeon - it’s mainly the wind hardened drifts more than just the amount of snow
Visibility is a must have because you have to pick your line very carefully

I will be going to pigeon lake.. possibly pigeon lake provincial park.. the point.. up front of boat launch. I have checked depth chart... guessing 300yrds out will be a start to check if its good to fish.. keeping my fingers crossed on making it for this weekend... just trying to find a auger now.

Sylvan
Any reports for Sylvan? Can you get around easily enough north of RR23? Thinking of heading out with the kids on Monday.

anyone been out on Pine Lake recently? Going to the annual derby on Sunday, and hoping to pre-fish tomorrow. Is truck travel pretty good all over the lake?

Snow depth
Anyone been to Wabumun lately
Want to know how thick the ice is and how deep the snow is in Fallis and by town of Wabamun?
Thanks

18 solid inches at Pine Lake, relatively close to the old new Scotty's Resort place. Precis for the derby went well today. Plenty of activity on the camera and a few takers. Hoping for a similar bite tomorrow...

Driftpile at Slave is tough conditions, chains and clearance are the only way out. Only a couple of shacks left. What a different year out that way.

Around 18" of ice, but as others have mentioned, use caution on the lake! Fishing was slow last week for me.

Was out yesterday to Calling lake. Fishing was slow. Over 18 inches of ice. I drove my quad to vw point. I would recommend sleds or a large cc Automatic quad with chains. Over flow and very hard crusted snow. If you broke through the crust your toast. Trucks were getting stuck at the provincial side boat launch some never even got off the launch.
Good luck

Heading to Lac Ste Anne tomorrow, anybody out there today that knows how bad the slush is? If not, I'll try to give a report after I get back.

Bring your casting rod if you heading south of Lethbridge. St Mary’s and Ridge May be ok but use caution. Canal system south of Magrath have open water around edge.

20+" at Sylvan. Must have seen a 100 fish on the camera at Sunbreaker today and not ONE was a taker. Was insane. Whites, walleye, Pike and burbs.... Could not get a taker on anything and we probably used probably half our tackle box. Super weird day.

Any ice/snow reports for up north? Looking at possibly fishing any or all of the above lakes, debating if the skidoos or quads should come to get around. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!
