Cpaws
An odd thing -- I wrote a letter to CPAWS on concerns I have with the lack of openness for consultation and speed that this is being pushed through at. The response came from the office of the Premier and a follow up invitation from Shannon Phillips to dial in to a an upcoming conference call. I did not realise that CPAWS was joined at the hip with the current Alb government.

Nothing like a broad FOIP request to root out collusion.

The LYT folks are curious that way. And I'm pretty sure better looking than most on AOF, including me.

Public information session in Edmonton tomorrow. If you can only attend one, this is the one. We need to show the NDP it’s not just rural rednecks who support the BH!
Saturday, February 2
Edmonton
Polish Hall
10960-104 Street
1:00-4:00 p.m.

There is also an article in the Mountaineer expressing similar sentiments. I think the NDP are beginning to realize that literate people do exist outside of Edmonton and Calgary.

Would love to see this but I don’t think it will happen. I’m sure the NDP have it so tied to laws, science, endangered species, headwater, indigenous land, etc. That no politician will touch it. That said though ask the local MLA’s of the area running what they plan on doing. I know some of them have said they will push to revisit and revise. Which is all I want, a proper level headed conversation of what should be changed for the better.
