Go to your local rink and watch local hockey. AJHL is always a good choice. Junior “B” can always use the support. The old Chinook league is in its playoffs Innisfail vs Stony Plain ( only 2 teams left in the league ) and they serve beer at the rink now !!

They postponed the season so people won’t be congregating in large groups in order to slow the progress of the virus. Why would you suggest doing the exact same thing in a different venue?

Most junior b and chinook league games have ways less than 250 people. Hockey Canada is monitoring Covid-19 also and as to this post have not cancelled any minor hockey events. Although I do hear that the AJHL will pause.

I hit these games up regularly, great hockey. Watching to see what they are doing with all this crazy. Both my towns Jr A and B teams are going. Midget AAA not so much.

I watch em as much as I can. Great hockey and my boys love it. Cheap to attend. Free parking. What’s not to love !!! Unfortunately hockey Canada and Hockey Alberta have just cancelled all hockey

If the season is only suspended, then it isn't finished yet, and the standings could change. If the remainder of the season, including playoffs is cancelled, the once again, the Oilers will miss the playoffs.

Apparently it wasn’t just about crowds gathering. Professional teams share the same facilities (ie. NBA and NHL) and they were concerned for the players as well.

Gotta watch tonight. Wayne was great but if you tune in tonight be warned it will look slow compared to today’s game. Still watching numerous legends play in one game is always fun.
