Oh my, Brodie got 2 helpers, 1 on the game winning goal. Better trade him. Neal was playing again and they won. Better trade him too. Your tonight's game predictions among others have been a teeny bit off.

Yup. Except the part where they won, everybody got it wrong. Damn. Disappointing two points for sure.

It lessens the list about things to complain about.

It’s too bad Calgary couldn’t of traded Neal for McDavid just before Chiarelli got canned. He might of done it. Lol

Aho was the Canes hero to tie it but the goat in OT.
He left the lane to let Backlund get to the net.
A good win tho, on schedule for 100 pts.
Even if they slide a bit, only 92 pts needed to make the playoffs.

Not sure if anyone saw the Orr V Cherry prospects game last night. I only caught the third but that Payton Krebs I mentioned was playing in it, goal and two assists I believe. What little I saw was lots of good up and coming players.

He received that pass for Johnny Hockey...pretty sure keeping Johnny's point streak alive was the point. Not a selfish player at all..

Enough Oilers chat for me, from the Professional Hockey Writers Association mid-season awards:
-Brad Treliving topped the voters’ list for the GM of the Year;
-Bill Peters was No. 2 on the list for the Jack Adams Award (Trotz was 1st);
-Mark Giordano was the No. 1-voted blueliner for the Norris Trophy;
-Johnny Gaudreau rolled in the second-most votes for the Hart Trophy (Kucherov was 1st); and,
- Sean Monahan came in third for the Lady Byng Trophy.

Got say from a fans POV.. I hate this break.
Lots of hardware coming up for the Flames if they can keep going here.

The All Star skills competition is on tonight at 7pm. I thought it used to always be Saturdays with the games taking place on Sundays? Anyways, should be entertaining.

New competition was made to include Leon today. The competitor stands in front of an atm and whoever withdraws the most cash in 60 seconds wins.

and yet he's not in the All Star game...I'm still shaking my head at this...especially seeing Draisaitl there

The best way to look at it is a well deserved rest, so he can tear it up even more in the last 30 games.
But yeah, blows my mind that Gio with his 50+ point season and (if I'm not mistaken) best +/- in the league...didn't make the cut. Travesty. Reminds me of the popularity contests for high school student body that had nothing to do with merit.

Pacific getting killed by Central, Drai and McD -2 on their first shift...minus 3 or 4 on that period? They do make a lot of money between them, so the million bucks for winning team is probably not much incentive....
Kane sure scoring lots of goals. Gibson looks horrible though.
