Getting my fur ready to turn in tomorrow. Still have 3 that aren't fully dry but they'll be ready for tomorrow. Not a great picture but I had to get on the roof in order to fit all of the pelts in.

Thank you for the kind words, fellas. I didn't catch them all, I have a fur buyers licence and I acquired some whole dogs. I did put them all up myself though. I'm optimistic that coyotes will do well again in March and all of that work in the skinning shed will pay off.

You should, TFNG!!!! For posterity reasons if nothing else. The pictures would look good on the wall of your shed.
I'm headed to Westlock tomorrow as well, the same as another AO member that I chatted with today. I'm thinking that I'll be there about 1pm-ish if you happen to be around. I'll be wearing an ATA ballcap and a camo jacket if you are there at the same time.

trappers 2014/15
Being a coyote guy myself, I know all about the work that goes into getting a nice pile of fur like the ones we're seeing here. Great work guys, and congratulations on all your efforts. Who knows how many critters we've saved by taking that many coyotes out of business. All the best, and keep up the good work.

WOW, Shawn! You are doing really great this year. That's a nice batch of fine looking fur. You'll do well at auction with those.

Late Season Snaring
Some awesome pictures, and awesome coyotes!
My season got off to a very late start, and after messing around with small traps, I have decided to try for coyotes for the last month of the season. This is my first time snaring and tonight I set 2 snares on two separate trails. As well I hung a chunk of skunk in a tree with some coyote lure on it, in the hopes of creating a bit of a bait pile situation to get some trails to snare on.
As this is my first go at coyotes, I was wondering if anyone can give me some starter advice, thank you!
Awesome to see everyone is having a great season!

bring in the birds, crows magpie's with the birds will come the coyote's,having that skunk is perfect IMO as they seem to love them, they will create trails, make sure to anchor high so as to keep snare high on neck for good dispatch, snare height is important and loop size,I run 10inch loop,14 inches up from ground to bottom of snare, there are other's on here who catch a ton more than muself and this is where I get my info from,GOOD LUCK Flytrapper

Heading out with a load of wolf bait. We have a couple bait piles that are just starting to get some action. Snares are set, now wait for them to return.
We've taken out two so far.
