I disagree!
I have found most of the information here to me much more accurate, and more up to date than what our government has been spouting.

Well, it's to be expected with you always skating on the thin ice....I'm just surprised it hasn't happened sooner.

I serve on our hospital board and recieve updates on this virus daily. Today’s update from Verna Yiu AHS president said 4 new cases this afternoon in Alberta bringing our official number to 23. All travel related. Only one hospitalized with others in self isolation.

Sophie Grégoire Trudeau is positive but Justin is not going to be tested because he has no symptoms??? Wouldn't the dozens of people he has been in direct contact with want to know? Shouldn't everyone he had direct contact with be in quarantine?

It’s 30+ deg over here every day in the middle of another Aussie summer and we’ve got more cases then Canada in spite of our travel restrictions that were enacted several weeks ago. I’m no expert but it seems to do ok in warm climates.

Stop talking common sense, the federal government doesn't seem to care much for that

Thats interesting that even with your travel restrictions your numbers are basically the same as ours. I seems maybe the medical experts are a little ahead of the politicians.....

Some people are as dumb as mud.

Yesterday someone that just returned from a cruise ship went to a large retail store to pick up some prescriptions. Not only was she at a high risk of being exposed to the virus, she also had a case of pink eye. As soon as it was discovered by the pharmacist she was escorted out of the store and the entire department was disinfected. She’s now been tested and is subject to self quarantine if the results are positive.

I don’t have a lot of faith in people self quarantining voluntarily.

I don't either, self quarantine is pretty much useless.

Well I have 2 boys and their teammates along with families and coaches very disappointed that their Hockey Provincials are cancelled. Us as coaches knew this decision was coming as we stepped on the ice for a practice and by the time we were off, it was done.

Everyone was looking forward to the Bantam and PeeWee Provincials that were to start next week and the week after. IMO it’s a life lesson that some things or situations just are not fair -that my boys just learned. I told them It’s for the best for our Society right now to help reduce the risk and spread of this virus. There is always next season

I'm going to see if this can help me supply & install some hands-free faucets for my commercial clients. Nothing like washing your hands and then touching a contaminated handle when you're finished... Maybe make some lemonade out of this lemon of a situation

Didn’t read the article yet, but I talked to my sister just about an hour ago. The doc she works with is in daily contact with his Italian colleague, blood something research, I don’t know. Anyway, she said that the Italian colleague is saying it is a complete **** show at this point. Pretty much her impression is that what they show them (she is a nurse practitioner) in the pandemic training videos is what is happening there now: schools, halls, more or less anything that can be is converted to shelters/hospitals; once personnel tests positive for the virus, they go on a 24 hour quarantine, what remains at this point works about 24 hours a day. Take it as a hearsay, but that’s the word on the street.

Nah, I don't think he and Sofia get close enough to each other for him to get anything from her. Anything.

Read the article now. Given it’s three days old, my sister’s second-hand account of events unfolding today sounds about right. We will see how that turns out... it sucks either way.

It’s amazing how vulnerable we as humans are, rather how we make ourself to be, when exposed to something as small as this. There is no reason for us not to be prepared for an event like this. And I am not even talking about hospitals beds and medical equipment. As little as some protocol of actions to take should do, really.
