First archery harvest for me and I was glad I could take a mature old buck. And even better it was with my dad. We rattled him in around 5pm and he came in on a rope!

Congratulations to you all.
These have been the finest of animals I have seen.
Most imporant was all the stories and tales of how hard it was
to make this year this fall come together.
Then their are posts like the one above where everything hits home
Thank you all for taking us to a land were we want to be.
Even if only for a moment.

Nicely said Bones.
Hunt hard, hunt fair.
Well done,
except for the steaks.

Wow what a great season our community of bow hunters are having. Congrats to everyone on the great success. I have had my best bow hunting season so far in my early career. First was my very first bull moose with a bow and first moose period (picture submitted earlier on this thread). Then I got to take my second buck ever with my bow and captured the hunt on film! You can watch below.

Here’s the closest I came to harvesting anything with my bow this year. Knocked some feathers off of a nice big ruffed grouse that was drumming. I actually stalked the bird by listening to his drumming sessions. So strange to hear them drumming in September. This bird gave me two separate shots and I couldn’t seal the deal. Need to practice with my flu flu arrows more.

Had a good year this year. Was lucky enough to kill a buck with my recurve.

Way to go Nube and Herc883. In my eyes hands down the best harvests this year.

First attempt at Antelope
Attachment 141515
Attachment 141516
September 15th, this NW Alberta bush hunter got to experience something different with a successful hunt on a draw that took 8 years to get. Officially scored at 80 4/8”
