We drew some walleye tags and haven't been out yet. Has anyone been there and what is the walleye fishing like? Is there a bait ban? How is the water level?
I was out there a week ago and the lake was either in turnover, or, the levels have dropped enough that the weed seed is out of control. I'm hoping turnover...
There was no more than a foot of visibility and the fishing was about as good as the visbility. We caught 2 small pike. 3 other boats out there and all were skunked.
Going to try again this upcoming week and hoping for cleaner water. I'll report back.
I went on Monday evening this week. We had walleyes and pike biting before we could even find the first hole. The boat launch was fine, the water looked a little lower this year thou.
