Default New to the forum, new purchase, and questions!

Hello everyone,

I am new to the forum! I've been spying this forum for a while and it has a strong following!

I have just purchased a 2 new 22's and I am new to shooting. I wanted to get some thoughts on the Ruger Single Six. I just purchased a Single Six stainless hunter 7.5 inch. It's a nice beginner for learning how to shoot properly I think.

Does anyone know of any outdoor ranges for restricted firearms aka this little .22? I would love to go to one and learn a thing or two and maybe with someone! Sounds like a good way to have fun on a Sunday!

I look forward to your valuable opinions!

Howdy and Welcome!
The single six is a great revolver.
I am assuming that you belong to an indoor range, otherwise you would not have been able to purchase the revolver.
Where are you located?

Wow, that was fast. I am located in Calgary and I am an "associate" member to the shooting edge. I purchased from Proline Shooters here in town. They were great, Thumbs up to Chuck!

Check the membership link for information on joining a club that will allow you to access the range.

Welcome to the AO forum, and congrats on your six gun purchase. I have had a couple single six's , they are a fine revolver and will give a life time of service.

Smile Shooter's edge

They have a safe indoor range, excellent coaching, if I recall as long as you buy their ammo you can shoot there.

Welcome.

Oh I'm sure that they sold you a "case " to transport the pistol, use it plus the trigger lock.

That's a must lock and case! I have that for all of my tools. I appreciate the feedback. I'm going to check that range out this week near the Calgary airport. Looks pretty nice!
