Asphalt shingles color change
Anyone ever stained or painted there roof to match the color of there home, before I bought my house, the previous owner put on the most god awful color of asphalt shingles that do not match the siding or the trim on the house. So the shingles are only 2 years old but i dont want to replace them because they are like new.

I roof houses. And all I gotta say is if you dont like the color now just wait till you paint them! Not only is it gonna look like garbage, It will void all warrenty and damage the life span of the shingle. Maybe its time to upgrade the siding lol or re-roof with a color you find more suitable.

neither are bad if you do it yourself..... but if you have never done a roof, i dont recommend it. siding is actually surprisingly cheap and easy to do yourself.

If anyone wants to try paint, Behr makes a specialty paint that is supposed to be compatible with asphalt shingles.

I did both my shingles and siding last summer.Myself. I guess cheap is not the same for everyone. lol
