Free Camping/Fishing Spots between Edmonton and Pembina

Hi everyone, long time browser of the forums but first time poster.

I am planning to go west to the Pembina River this weekend and also hitting up a couple lakes in between. Can anyone recommend some good (Preferably free) spots to camp? Mostly just want to fish in the daytime then find a place to sleep at night.

Would be nice to find a good spot right near the pembina river that we could hike over and do some shore fishing.

Also would be nice to know some spots near isle lake, wabamum, lac st. anne, chickakoo/sauers... to camp for free. Have a little zodiac boat so it wouldn't have to be too close to the water for the lakes since we can just drive back to the camp spot.

The whole area is easy driving distance so really if someone knows a nice free camping spot somewhere in between edmonton and the pembina river that would be greatly appreciated.
