Default Red Deer River Report

Checked out the Red Deer River just south of the Sundre bridge Saturday evening from about 2100 to 2230 hrs.

Two Browns, one about 15 in the other about 8 in. Small Olive Wooly Bugger on a floating line & slow sink leader.

Not hard strikes, just sort of sucked the fly in, first one was surprise, thought I had hooked the bottom.

River still low, slightly murky in the main stream, but clear in the pools and side runs.

Few minnows running in the shallows, shaping up to be a good year.

any chance you've seen the water clarity conditions below the dam, like say....yesterday? dont know if i can justify $1.21 / litre gas to have a crappy day on the RDR tomorrow.

What time are you planning on being there? I was thinking of going tomorrow too.
