Default any one have a chariot brand stroller/bike trailer?

My wife and I have the cougar 2 model, and we love it. Our twins are 6 months old now and love to be in it as well....I bought the bike attachment yesterday to put put around town with them in the chariot. My wife began to read the instructions and freaked out because it says they have to be at least a year old before you can pull them in it behind a bike....I say baloney!!

Has anyone used one, or a similar product and used it behind a bike before their kids were a year old? both my boys are strong, sit up on their own etc...I can see how going faster on trails or bumpy roads could cause them to be shaken up a bit more, but I am talking about smooth paved roads at speeds of 5-10 mph....barely even faster than walking...

Common sense prevails.

No mountain biking
Don't drag them thru deep puddles

They are pretty strapped in and she can cover them so they stay warm.
Enjoy your bike rides!
Most often you will find they fall asleep while on the ride

If needed put the head support things in there and they will be fine.

Those are my thoughts exactly...common sense....Obviously I am not going to be ripping around, down trails etc...but I cannot see how a slow ride behind a bike on smooth pavement is any different than pushing them on smooth pavement...

Never give your wife the instructions.

We live in a society that babies children. They will be fine on a ride with you.
Remember they are her precious babies and she will forever worry, which is fine, but a car ride is more dangerous for them than a bike ride with you on paved trails.
Have you suggested they learn to swim yet? I love watching the faces of parents when they see a swim instructor tell them to DUNK said baby.

Give them 4 more months and let me see them boys. I will have the stinkers eating steak, chops, sausage and stuff.
My nephew came on vacation with me eating babyfood and 11 days later I sent him home eating like a big boy. Amazingly enough his mom is happy because he isnt always hungry now like he was while eating baby foods.

Absolutely no issue with a little common sense Clash.......they'll be asleep by the end of the first block.

Make sure you use the sun shade Bud

Ya can hang a few cuddly's in there for em' to play with as well.

Hint : blow in their face then dunk them _ they will be fine

I was on my first camp out in a tent at 3 weeks of age
Swimming in Lake erie at the same age.

Children should be introduced to as many things as possible at the youngest age possible.
Swimming should be 3-4 month stage.
Stinky bolted from a change room at 18 months old butt naked and jumped into 8 feet of water with me and a lifeguard following close behind. He ran when I had bent down to get his stuff from our swim bag.

It wont kill them to go on rides.
It wont kill them to eat sand
It wont kill them to eat bugs
It wont kill them to expose them to the great outdoors
It wont kill them to play in dirt
It wont kill them to share a lolly with the dog

But I insist that they do get the ROTAVIRUS shot I nearly lost stinky because of rotavirus.

Although my kids are older now check on their website as they have accessories to help stabilize infants in the strollers.

We've got a Croozer which is just a rebranded older model Chariot and have used it a couple of times. I haven't been out on the bike yet but if yer just going for a slow cruise I don't see it being a problem so long as they can sit up on their own. I believe the concern is at the faster speed on a bike you can't help with the little bumps that you can while walking and it could hurt their necks.

Unfortunately, Gabe doesn't much care for it when we go for walks but the last time we discovered that he's got a love for child carriers. Ended up picking up a cheap one on kijiji the other day to use till we can afford a decent one as we're still paying for the wedding. I'll have to try him behind the bike in his Croozer soon and see if he likes it any better than walking. We got an infant helmet at Walmart as well, they didn't have much selection and several other stores we tried didn't have them at all.

Just make sure that the kids can hold their heads up properly when wearing the helmets.
