Are Liberals 'avoiding' the long gun issue in this election
Interesting editorial describing the Liberal history regarding the registry, highlighting their lack of stance (avoidance) of the registry issue in this election.

It the albatross around their necks. No one wants it, no one needs it, but they brought it in, so even though it has done no good it needs to stay. Basically it is a $2,000,000,000 waste of money. Liberals is there anything they can't waste money on?

Probably.
It's easier to back up the two. Even the auditor general can't figure out the convoluted system set up between the RCMP, justice, and the liebrals to hide the actual costs.

Wondering if SH is hanging onto this one for awhile...until closer to the date?...Iggy has been bashing him continually for not respecting the democratic process....how about whipping your party and forcing them to vote against their constiuents wishes????...like I said earlier, from what I hear, Ralph Goodale may be in trouble over this issue alone....just thinking...

I find it interesting that the auditor general couldn't follow the money but nothing was done about that. Try telling Rev Canada you don't where your money came from or went to but here's how much I've decided to pay this year.

Good Post!!!...sad thing is out here we're preaching to the choir......have to get something happening down there (East Coast,Ont.)....that's why I'm hoping this - so far-anemic--- campaign will heat up in the last couple weeks....we need some real issues...besides kicking somebody out of a rally???????...give me a break!!!

Why do the conservatives not challenge the liberals on this issue, when the liberals keep pushing the health issue, the conservatives can put the long gun money towards the health care money shortfall.

Because there are too many people in T.O. and Vancouver that are scared of big bad guns. The only place that needs to hear anything about the registry is rural Canada and the ridings where the MP's flip flopped on the vote.
