Anyone ever see this before?

Many times, they changed jackshaft design shortly after. Make sure your rails are not bent at all, and check the anti stabs.

My wife works for the local cat dealer so I tour the back shop often. I have never seen this before.

Which dealer?

I bought Ekholm Performance in 2004, been in the Industry since 1999, was on the road doing sales for a distributor in Edmonton for 5 years, covered all of Alberta, Saskatchewan, Northern BC and just started Manitoba when I left.

I have seen and heard of HUNDREDS of these breaking.

That would never happen on a Doo!

Hey Steve,
Earlier I told you I hadn't seen that happen. Well just bad memory here. I remember back in 2003 I had a buddy bust his when we were in the back of Forester(Invermere). Good thing we were also riding with the local groomer operator who brought it out that night. That was a 2003 1M 800.

Ya but they will leave walking when the MPEM ****s the bed. Then because the sled is an 01 they cannot get new ones so then you get to search for a used one. Should be going next days off.

Oh and lost all respect for some pretty reputable Alberta Doo dealers over this episode!

Maybe ill trade it on a Polaris, at least the local dealer is great to deal with and can fix things!

That almost sounds like they were feeding you a line of BS.
I have owned and rode every brand out there. They all have their faults. I'm not brand loyal, and could tell you why each one is no good. Today I like Doos lol.

Funny thing its not one dealership! A few dealers and a couple former Doo mechanics that have their own shops now.

And im not loyal either.LOL

The part that gets me is you cannot get this part new!

Oh well Ive been riding Doos for alot of years and its my first break down but it would have been nicer to have been an easier part to get LOL

Did you work for other distributors.

You remind me alot of a salesman from TCI.
