Default 22-250 Opinions

Hey There....Im was just looking for some opinions/advice on the 22-250 Rem. Im looking to buy a Savage Model 11 or 12 when I get word back on the prices. I have heard these guns are wicked for coyotes which is what I would be using it for. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I bought a stevens 200 in 22-250 last Spring but I've yet to shoot anything other than a target. I'm happy with the accuracy though. Try a search of "22-250 gophers" and "22-250 coyotes" on youtube for a little entertainment.

A buddy has 12fv; nice rifle for the price but I didn't like the cheap stock they have on it as it didn't seem to balance very well. He ended up getting a thumb hole laminate and it is well balanced now.

Good luck.

You can't shoot a 22-250 outta the truck cab without hearing damage. And eagles taste like chicken.

No Lee, I'm not in the wine.....bahahahaha

Thumbs up 22.250

I personally love this caliber as a yote gun. Super fast and flat,I think its 25 bucks for 40 rounds in the winchester bonus packs and they shoot not bad the odd stringer, as far as the savage models seen a few and the model 12 is the way togo pay alittle more and get a 12.

I don't have a Savage, but I do have a Winchester model 70 heavy barrel, what a great shooter in 22-250, shot a coyote at 615 yards all on video, love the caliber, 50 grain vmax is my choice, can't go wrong with the 22-250 on coyotes, or any other small game. Cheers

I have 2, a win m70 and a ruger hawkeye. Love this calibre. 50 grain Vmax is the way to go, doesn't chew 'em up too bad.

Coyotes absolutely hate the 22-250 caliber.
