I find that if you fish in the shallower parts you catch all the big rainbows! they sit in the area just before it drops off. I always use a spinner or a sinking rappela and it works like a charm. I have never been able to catch a perch unless ice fishing so if you figure that out let me know.

Try the weedbeds off the island with a small spinner for the perch, but like I said once the otters show up forget it, they eat everything in sight.
