Default Canfor Rd???

Just came back from down around the Musreau area and saw 2 cop trucks and a cop car dealing with two trucks with quads on back on the Canfor Rd...
As I continued back to town I met two more sets of Cop cars and a DNR truck heading south...

perhaps nothing much to it,...but if anyone know, or if it was a member...

What the hell was goin on??

I was clipping along, but this is what I believe I saw..

Tomorrow morning...

I am on two minds...

I want to go to Two Lakes, and am fooling myself into thinking the road will be good after all this rain.

The other option?

sturgeon...and I bet that place will be like a frekin zoo tomorrow!

Either way, tomorrow morning I'll be somewhere in my boat!

The cops always do lots of ATV licence checks around the canfor road on may long...soooo many people down on smoky flats.

As for two-lakes...you are fooling yourself, i know a bunch of people that went down on Friday no word from them

I went to sturgeon today, went with the 19ft starcraft to the narrows, smashed some really nice pike 11lb biggest, decent action on darker spoons. caught some nice walleye in the narrows to. There was quite a few people out and the weather was less then perfect...but the fishing was decent..

think the teo lakes crowd is gonna have to wait for it dry up to get out?

I love it in tehre, but got stuck on the other side of Stetson Creek for two days once,..unplanned.

I even heard guys today discussing whether or nor they get to Swan Lake..

Well I guess it will be Sturgeon.

Any advice?

Tomorrow is just a fun day for the little guy to have his first time out and boil up..

I've been going to Two Lakes since the late 60's. Believe me that road is a super highway now! LOL!

I dont venture out there but Im at a higher elevation than GP and we have 7 inches of snow. If its anything like it is out here I wouldnt with the little one.
I would with my buddies though.

What does it hurt to try?

Swan will be easy to get into no doubt...

Remember to pinch bait holder barbs LOL

Went out to km 130 on the Two-lakes road...was going to do stocking surveys on cutblocks. The road is good upto about km 100...then its uhh greee-hee-hee-heeasy. Around 20cm snow and im sure it will get worse as the sun melts it. We had to turn around cause the snow made it impossible to do our surveys...
