Hello every body, I'm new here and a new gun owner. I was looking to aquirer a new non-restricted sport riffle. I was considering the cz 858 or maiby the norinco type 97 listed on canadaammo. I'm looking for good price, reliabelatie, good aftermarquet and to be able to have the gun for a long time.

I read great reviews on the vz and is my current first choise for lack of valuable competition. I'm a bit interessted in the type 97 , but I don't know if they are prohibited or not :s ? I'v read they were not, then that they becam couple of monts back, but canadaammo's got them for sale?

And by the way excuse this frenchmen as I'm not really good at spelling

You can find the 858 in a few stores and ammo is cheap. The 97 was changed from non-restricted to prohibited over night and if you had one the Police would STEAL it from you and cut it up. Thats not a good investment. Canada ammo has a few things on their site that they don't have in stock, so a phone call works best.

the CZ is an excellent choice - CZ makes high quality firearms, from their pistols, 22 rifles, centerfire rifles and the 858. If I was looking for a firearm in that class, it would be my first choice.
I personally own 2 CZ's sporting rifles and no doubt to quality.
Ammo is plentiful for the 858 as well.

now if this was my very first firearm, I would have to ask "why the 858?" Personally not where I would start with my shooting.. if the answer is "cuz it's cool"

Thanks for the info, thats what i tought aboute te 97. It kinda scarse me for the possibilaty of buying a vz 58 and that they decide to prohibid it!!!

Ohand is would be my seceond gun I just accured a grizzly mag fed

I just got the dominium arm grizzly and boy it looks great, i'm really happy with it! I didn't get the chance to shoot it yet. Is there someone here that got one and if yes how do you like it? and how does the qualaty compare to the remington?
