I went looking for a 1900 a couple years ago to retire my XL900. I found an importer in Medicine Hat I believe. He told me imports of the semis were not allowed for some reason and hd not been for sometime although he had some double guns.

I continued my search and for another importer in the maritimes. He told the same story.

I then contacted a guy on another forum who got one out of the states somewhere. This lead too lead to nothing.

I have since read that they are now closing the plant in Japan but I am not certain on this. Too bad as a better shotgun has not been made IMHO.

I watch on the buy and sells and only the odd 900 ever comes up.

Hope you have better luck than I did.

Thanks mate, will phone tommorow, I sent a email off to SKB US about 1900, Not much info about these, had several hits from the old homeland and looks like they are still avaiable, a new deluxe 3000 semi is avaiable, will take a look as back in NZ in 3 weeks. I wonder if the 5 shot mag has something too do with them not being avaiable up here? Any other manafature's have a 5 shot semi auto 12,20g avaiable.
Thanks.

It had something to do with the metals used in the barrels if I remember right. Too much lead maybe? 5 shots is not an issue.

I think SKB is toast in Canada.

If you look at their U.S. website, examine the spare parts portion, I don't think they will be around for very long even in the U.S.
