Default BowTech Dealers?

I have been looking for an Alberta dealer online but can't find anything but an American site(in the boonies) or something like that. Anybody put me in the right direction? Really want to try out the new Destroyer 340. Sounds like a pretty sweet bow! Has anyone shot it yet?

Yeah...
There or the Calgary Archery Center.
I know what your talking about. The Bowtech wedsite is total Pooh. Very patriotic to the US and nothing about Canada. They are pretty big in Alberta so you would figure they would be better marketed up here.

I buy in Montana, live in BC, only because it's closer for me than any other dealer and the selection, service, knowledge and price can't be beat. When I contacted a BC dealer a few years ago, wanting to try the Guardian, he didn't have any in stock and tried to talk me into another Bowtech bow. Went to my friends in Kalispell, they had more than 30 in stock and sold 6 Guardians in the 4 hours I was in the shop! I "was only looking" but a Guardian came home with me that day.

I dropped by the shop before Christmas and before I could say anything, they had me on the range with both the 340 and 350 Destroyer in my hands. Honestly, I was a little unsure of the "overdrive axle" when I saw it on the internet, thought I would give it a year before I'd buy one- work any problems out. After the Air Raid (I don't like this bow), I was a little cautious. But, I was wrong, I'd buy a Destroyer today if I hadn't recently purchased a Bowtech Captain!

I like Bowtech's approach to new ideas, the overdrive system on a laminated limb as well as their new Flx guard cable guard. A Bowtech rep tells me this bow was 4 years in development. It's ready to go now!

How does it shoot? It's "Bowtech quiet"! The center pivot bows are probably quieter in the hand, but the Destroyer is virtually motionless on the shot. A single cam bow will draw smoother, and the Destroyer draws similar to the Captain. Didn't shoot it through the chrono, YET, but I'll get back there within a week and try that as well. This bow is fast. Bowtech has a reputation for being realistic with their advertised speeds. They advertise the Captain at 315-323 fps at 30" draw, I can get 311 fps at 29". I would expect the Destroyer 350 will push an arrow 330- 335 at 29", I'll find out...

Never thought I would, but, I love this bow....

Thanks for the info... Any price on the new 340? I think that the new axle and cam combo will work really well. Looks like a solid system. The website (www.bowtechintheboonies.com) has complete packages for sale in Canadian dollars. Has anyone else checked into this site?

For bow tech try Swamp Donkey outdoors. He is just north of spruce grove and is awesome to deal with. His prices are cheap and service is second to none.

Met Martin last year at a Buyer's show in Edmonton. He's a great guy, if he doesn't have a Destroyer, I know he can get one for you.

Flaming Arrow Archery. Just south of the airport, highway 2, on your right, not long after you cross the Rail tracks and the speed is reduced to 50 MPH. Look for the red "flaming arrow" pointing to the shop.

DO NOT go there without a bit of time and NOT without your bow. Be prepared to shoot. They have a great 20 yard indoor range with a lounge area and a Virtual Hunting video range, that you just have to shoot! A second 50 yard indoor range to sight in and 3D's on that side, if you want. Wendy's the quiet one at the front counter and the phone, Dennis owns the shop and George, he's the man...

See you there!

Brian

Default Bowtech Dealer????

Doesn't Barton's in Grande Praire sell Bowtech???????

National Archery Suppy has or had the Bowtech in The Boonies program, although they are not susposed to be able to sell Bowtech to anyone who is within 30 miles of a Bowtech dealer.

Default Jim Bows

Jim Bows has a pretty good amount of Bowtech bows usually gets them in before anyone else. I picked up my Destroyer 340 on New years Eve. Sweet bow, you will want to shoot it and the new Mathews Z7 if you can they are both very nice. Pm me if you would like to know anything about the bow.

I am set up at 64#, 28.5" draw shooting 356gr CX Maxima 250 hunters getting 301 fps.

Yes, I just found out yesterday that Bartons does sell Bowtech. Looking at $1100 for the new 340!

If Martin's selling the Destroyer for $800.00 each, buy everyone he's got! They sell for $899 US in Montana. You won't beat that price...

Another Bowtech Dealer to check out is Accurate Archery, just south of Spruce Grove. Lawrence has excellent prices, and service as well. Ph. 780-499-0664

Good luck.

Bartons is a crook. You could not pay me to support them. After ripping us off when we were in a bind last spring, i will never go back there....

Default bowtech

I'd recommend Sherwood Park. They have some 350's in stock and they are probably the best guys around to deal with.
