Exclamation Stream Closures Coming??

I do not see this as working out well for anglers in the Athabasca/McLeod River drainage. Read under the bottom tab.

I figured they were going to be classified provincially but this is a bit unexpected. I see a lot of streams being shut down to angling in that region. Keep your ears open for open houses and what not regarding this. I do not think angling has as much impact on these little fish as habitat loss due to bad culverts or sediment due to logging but i have a bad feeling on how the government sees this issue. If anyone hears of any open house's or similar regarding major regulation changes keep us updated. I know i've been catching more and larger rainbows in that area over the past few years (in the more popular creeks) so i do wonder where the lack of adult concerns are coming from. Call me paranoid but I'm a bit nervous about what may be coming down the pipe.
