Default New Trapline Cabin Question

Hi, Everyone. We are in the process of finding a main cabin location and applying for approval with lands.

On the documents I've read it mentions:"Licence holders are responsible for acquiring municipal approvals, (development permits, inspections and taxes etc) when applicable"

Has anyone navigated this recently with their municipality?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

With a bit more reading I thing I got this figured. Anyone else wondering look at your municipalities land use bylaw and then then section 618 of the municipal government act.

That sounds about right.

Each MD will vary quite a bit depending on the location of your trapline. I.e. privately owned land or crown. Sometimes if your square footage is below a certain # you can get away without any Development or Building Permits at all.

Default Trapline cabin

Present Trapline cabin policy and in past has major restriction on cabin size, deck size, location from major stream, size of site, location from other cabins. etc. Never heard of municipality involved on crown land RFMA build. (Unless new way to further restrict cabins)
