nice day out, I couldnt get rid of my headache so I decided may as well sit at the river so I went down after lunch. Got a few light bites I was figuring for little walleye, but I found out different when I set the hook, felt like I hooked a motorboat
Got a beautiful high jump, then it was at least 10 minutes of wondering if I was going to end up a mile down the river! I was watching the line on my reel, I was down in the unused line before I could even slow it down. I waded out a bit and was finally able to get her close enough to grab, even if my fingers werent long enough to encircle her tail. Got the hook out, measured it and watched her(it) slowly swim out to deep water, I think we were both rather tired! I think my biggest of the season, it was 58 inches
so close to 5 foot but theres still time. after that I caught some small walleye, just a bit of a letdown after that dino ! Still had the headache but I sure didnt care for a good while
