Default Quick PAL Renewal

Back in June I received a letter reminding me that my PAL was expiring this year.
Forgot about it and found the letter again in August. Did the online renewal including taking my own picture with my IPad. Sent it away August 12 and it came in today. Very easy to do. I’m impressed.

Contact provincial CFO, seems to speed things right up, at least here in Alberta.

My question is, are those just plain PAL’s, or RPAL’s, or RPAL’s with registered restricted’s and or prohib’s associated with the renewal?

Good questions. My is just a plain old PAL. I also wonder if there is a significant difference in processing times doing the online submittal vs snail mail.

Mine is just the regular PAL.
I apologize for starting the new thread. I’d been away for about 10 days and forgot about the other thread

Online used to be much quicker, but now online can take several moths as well. There seems to be no pattern as to why some renewals take weeks, and some take months.
