I havent seen 1 in probably 6 or 7 weeks if not longer now, thats very unusual around here. but the rivers been much higher than usual since Calgary had the water restrictions, its dropped quite a bit now but still a bit higher than normal for this time of year

Funny you should ask Wayne. I was out fishing the SSR yesterday and mentioned to my buddy how I thought it was weird that we've seen so few suckers. I had not caught 1 yet all year until 5 min after saying that to him, go figure! Been out a handful of times so far this year and am around a couple dozen sturg or so, 1 goldeye, and 1 sucker, lol, so weird. No complaints though! Managed 7 sturg yesterday including a big fat 53", my biggest in a few years. So fun! Off to chase them girly fish u love so much the next couple days in the hills. Tight lines Wayner.

Same here. Normally catch a lot of them when fishing for sturgeon, but nothing this year.

they are putting (Pesticide) in our canals around here this year, first year Ive seen the signs along the road. I wonder if it has anything to do with the lack of suckers in the Bow, I know its supposed to dissipate before it gets to the river but what if it isnt ? just wondering its probably fine but there has to be some explanation for their lacking this season
