Default Trout fishing within an hour or so of Falher.

I'm heading up that way for a moose hunt in Oct. Should I get lucky and tag out early, I thought I'd pack a fly rod and give some local water a try. Any decent trout water up that way, or should I just leave the rod home. Thank You

No trout that way, Have to come down at least to South of GP. Maybe a stocked pond up there somewhere?

Pack a spinning rod. Lots of fishing up that way, just not much trout, except in stocked ponds, which there are quite a few within a relatively short drive of Fahler.

Also Spring Lake South of Crooked Creek

Thanks, Dean
I appreciate all the help. Don't know if I'll get the opportunity to use it, but I'll pack a fly for just in case.

Get yourself to Swan lake if you can. Jumbo rainbows in there
It’s between valleyview and GP
