I also think some immigrants that do have some savings are getting scammed into coming here and investing into what they think is a better life but they dont realise what they are getting into until to late. I think some of it is about votes. But more of it might be about big shots who are invested into housing market. More demand for housing the more the prices go up and the richer the owners become.

The other thing I see around these parts is many are not willing to work but take handouts and then the immigrants take those jobs happier than happy can be.
Better service to because they take pride in their work, are very much engaged in their new home and job/career.

Not all but some.

If you get a chance you should watch a immigration show on Sweden and what a disaster that turned into. Sounds like we are going down same road.

I believe it’s a balance and IF done correct can be beneficial.

Back in the days of world war one, the 1920's, '30's, and '40's the governments of the day had relief camps. These were liberal and conservative governments. These people worked on government projects, road building, parks, etc. They were housed, clothed, fed and paid. A portion of their wages went for their keep. If this was still the case today we'd have a lot less immigration of undesirables. Immigrants would be here contributing instead of drawing on the system.

Times were different 80 to 100 years go, but the problems are still the same. Seems little to no progress has been made, not likely to change any time soon either. But at least one could see a benefit for the relief.

Our government calls the ones that walk across the border without going through the legal immigration process, irregular immigrants rather than illegal, and some are accepted as refugees, and granted permanent residence, and then citizenship. But seeing as how they didn't go through the legal immigration procedures,they are still illegal immigrants. And then there are people like Monsef, who lied on her immigration papers, and was not only given citizenship, but was elected as an MP. and became a cabinet minister.

This sounds like I'm making it up but I'm not. About a month ago in Calgary some were trying to make it so that non residents could vote in Calgary elections. This was on utube and it just gave me a headache so I didn't watch the whole thing but this is how crazy the situation is becoming
